SIERRA VISTA — A Cochise College club is seeking donations of computer or technology-related books, software and hardware for students attending this year’s Computer Challenge.

The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) club coordinates the Computer Challenge each spring on the Sierra Vista Campus for local middle and high school students. Each year at the event, AFCEA offers a table full of free books, software and hardware for the more than 200 students who compete for awards and prizes in several different events and categories.

“If you have computer or technology-related books that you have been wondering what to do with, this is a great way to clear out some space,” said Dan Guilmette, AFCEA adviser. “Any hardware donated must be in working order, and software must be ‘legal.'”

This year’s Computer Challenge is set for March 1. The AFCEA club at Cochise College is a nonprofit organization. For more information or to donate, contact Guilmette at (520) 515-5431 or guilmetted@cochise.edu.
