CROWNPOINT, N.M. — The Cochise College rodeo team competed at Navajo Technical College over the weekend, with the women taking second overall and the men tying for fifth.

Cochise’s Georgia Diez finished second in the women’s all-around, placing first in barrel racing and seventh in goat tying. Cheyenne Foster tied for third in the breakaway roping competition.

For the Cochise men, Charlie Kogianes tied for first place in saddle bronc riding.

In the Grand Canyon Region standings, the Cochise men are seventh overall and the women are fourth heading into their final weekend of rodeo, April 26-28 at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
