DOUGLAS – The Cochise College men’s basketball team pulled out the ladder and the scissors Friday night to cut down the net after holding off Phoenix College 101-98 in the regular-season finale.

The Apaches will be back at it on their home court on Thursday to open the NJCAA Region I playoffs against Central Arizona. The win Friday night gave the Apaches their sixth ACCAC championship in the last 14 years, but this one may have been a little more special.
