Cochise College will host a Cinco de Mayo Commemoration on Wednesday, May 4, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on the Sierra Vista Campus, Douglas Campus, and Zoom.

- Bilingual presentations & question and answer sessions. Ricardo Pineda, Consul of Mexico, and Professor Ernesto Carmona Gomez are the featured cultural speakers.

“It’s a fun and educational event for all ages,” said Cochise College’s Spanish instructor, Jessamyn Snider.
This year’s live entertainment at the Sierra Vista Campus will be Puerta- Vazquez Guitar Duo and Alma Folklorico. At the Douglas Campus, Douglas High School Folklorico and Brandon Perrault will provide entertainment.
Also offered during the event is a full meal of traditional Pueblan dishes. There will be vegetarian and vegan options upon request.
The event is free and open to the public. This event is not an Independence Day. Sponsored by the Cochise College Cultural Events.
