Cochise College Downtown Center
Cochise College will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the grand opening of the Cochise College Downtown Center.
The center is located in the former Sierra Vista Regional Health Center. The Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona, a non-profit organization, gifted the facility to the college last year and it effectively expanded the square-footage of the college’s Sierra Vista Campus by 50 percent, with over 90,000 square feet of additional space.
The Downtown Center will be the new home of nursing and health sciences, culinary arts and electronics training programs; the Center for Lifelong Learning and Small Business Development Center/Center for Economic Research; Veterans Business Outreach Center; Virtual Campus offices; and three local partners that facilitate community services.
With the opening of the new Downtown Center, Cochise College hopes to use it as a resource for many neighboring businesses and companies located in the area to help with community outreach.
