More than 200 Cochise College students are the recipients of scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year that were provided through contributions to the Cochise College Foundation.
“More students than ever before are investing in the future by attending Cochise College,” said Denise Merkel, executive director of the Cochise College Foundation. “The individuals and foundations who sponsor these scholarships are helping strengthen the development of the workforce and the income potential of these students. They are helping promote student success.”
A student attending Cochise College full time will pay more than $1,360 in tuition and fees, excluding books and supplies, which can add significantly to educational expenses. To qualify for scholarships, applicants described their educational and career goals, their financial circumstances, and their extracurricular activities. Scholarships were available for both full- and part-time students, and awards ranged from $150 to $2,500.
