The Cochise College men’s basketball team is seeded 20th in the NJCAA Division I national championship tournament, held in Hutchinson, Kan. The Apaches open play Monday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. (Central Time) against No. 13-seeded Ranger College of Texas.

The Rangers have advanced to the NJCAA national championship tournament twice in the past four seasons. They were the NJCAA national runner-up in 2018-19 and advanced to the national semifinals in 1996. 

Cochise is 11-2 on the season. The Apaches defeated Arizona Western on April 10 to claim the Region I title. Cochise has 23 consecutive NJCAA Region I playoff appearances.
