SIGNAL PEAK — The Cochise College men’s basketball team won its sixth straight game Saturday with a 90-87 victory over Central Arizona College.
Jordan Martin led Cochise in scoring with 27 points, including six 3-pointers, followed by Antonio Penny with 11, and Dane Pannell and Bryan Laws with 10 apiece.
“We defended better in the second half and Jordan Martin hit some big threes,” Cochise head coach Jerry Carrillo told the Sierra Vista Herald. “We got some stops when we needed to and we were fortunate to make some free-throws down the stretch.”
The Apaches are now 10-6 overall and 5-3 in conference play. Next for Cochise is a home game Wednesday against Pima Community College at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free to all regular-season home games on the Douglas Campus.
