DOUGLAS — The Cochise College women’s soccer team beat Gateway Community College on Tuesday, 3-0.
Jessica Messer scored the Apaches’ first goal in the 43rd minute unassisted. Elia Mendoza added an insurance goal in the 75th minute and T’naiha Williams scored Cochise’s final goal, with an assist by Angelique Morales, just before the game ended.
Cochise is 6-3-1 this season heading into Thursday’s game at Mesa and Saturday’s game at South Mountain. The Apaches return home Tuesday, Oct. 7, against Phoenix at 3 p.m.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
