DOUGLAS — The Cochise College women’s basketball team defeated Arizona Christian University on Tuesday, 71-60.
Destiny Amezquita led the Apaches with 22 points, followed by McCorra Ford with 16 and Te Oramae Solomon with 12. Arianna Anderson had 11 rebounds, Solomon added eight and Princess Lauvao had seven.
Cochise is 2-0 on the season, with an 82-52 win over Spire Academy on Sunday, heading into conference play Tuesday at Arizona Western College. The Apaches travel to non-conference Imperial Valley on Wednesday before returning home for a 5:30 game against Mesa on Nov. 19.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
