Shortstop Louis Boyd earned Second Team All-Region, finishing with a .307 batting average, including 59 hits, and 56 runs scored.

The Apaches are the top seed in this year’s NJCAA Region I Division I Tournament, which begins this week. Cochise faces fourth-seeded South Mountain in a best-of-three series in the semifinal round Thursday through Saturday. As the top seed, the Apaches have home field advantage throughout their time in the region tournament. All games on the Douglas Campus will be broadcast on KDAP 96.5 FM in Douglas.
