Cochise College baseball fans unable to make the trip to Grand Junction, Colo., for the 2013 NJCAA World Series will have a chance to follow the Apaches through radio and on the web.
All of Cochise College’s games in the JUCO World Series, played on Suplizio Field, will be broadcast on KDAP 96.5 FM in Douglas, and all of the tournament games will be streamed live online via NJCAA TV.
Cochise College’s public information officer, Liz Manring, will also offer a live blog, capturing the team’s experiences on and off the field, at apachesatjuco2013.tumblr.com, beginning this Thursday. Cochise baseball fans are invited to submit content of their own — photos, videos, articles, text and more — using the “Submit a post” link on the righthand side of the blog.
The Apaches open play in the World Series at 7:30 p.m. MST (6:30 p.m. AZ time) Sunday against Neosho County (Kan.) Community College. Whether they win or lose, Cochise plays again on Tuesday.
