The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Lunch Lecture and Brown Bag series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.
This semester, lectures are presented on Mondays at the Benson Center, Tuesdays at the Douglas Government Center, located at 1012 N. G Ave., and Wednesdays at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702. All lectures are from 12:10 to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.
• “Three Guys and One Gal” – Monday, March 18, Benson Center
Locally recognized Barbershop Quartet, Three Guys and One Gal, will entertain you with their favorite musical renditions. This group has performed at many area events and will be performing for your listening pleasure.
• “Role and Function of the Consulates Office” – Tuesday, March 19, Douglas Government Center
Consul Amezcua will explain services and functions of the Mexican Consul’s Office.
• “The Alvord-Stiles Gang” – Wednesday, March 20, Sierra Vista Campus, room 702
Giddy up and go hear author Brad Smith relate the story of the Alvord-Stiles Gang. Listen to tales about how they outlawed their way through Cochise County at the turn of the 20th century. Smith will highlight the gang’s crimes, associates, escapes and captures.
