Cochise College will host an artist talk, exhibit and workshop featuring the comic book creator and writer Hector Rodriguez III. “The college is excited to invite everyone to come to the Sierra Vista
Campus or the Douglas Campus to enjoy an artist talk, exhibit and workshop led by the award-winning artist,” said Virginia Thompson and Jessamyn Snider, the college’s cultural events coordinators.Hector Rodriguez III hails from the border town of Eagle Pass, Texas. He is recognized for his contributions to the comics industry. Rodriguez is most notably known as the visionary behind “El Peso Hero” and the co-founder of the Texas Latino Comic Con. He is also the co-editor-in-chief at Chispa Comics, the pioneering Latino comic book publishing house in collaboration with Scout Comics. In addition to his numerous roles, Rodriguez serves as the Director of Development for the Masked Republic, overseeing the creative development of Masked Republic Lucha media properties.
