DOUGLAS – The Cochise College soccer and rodeo teams faced off in their annual friendly match at the soccer field at the Douglas Campus on Nov. 15.

It’s the third time the teams have faced each other for the game played in the late fall. This time around, the Apache women’s soccer team edged the rodeo squad 4-3.

“The rodeo team had some potential prospects,” laughed second-year Cochise soccer head coach Andrea Daniels. “Even the coaches got involved and shared in the fun!”

Both teams are currently gearing up for 2012. The soccer team closed an injury-riddled season in late October with a 7-11-1 record, while the rodeo team is on a break until spring, when the Apaches host their second rodeo of the year March 3 and 4 at Wren Arena on Fort Huachuca.
