The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Brown Bag Lecture Series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.

Spring lunch lectures kick off Wednesday, Jan. 29, with a special presentation at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702  from 12:10 to 1 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch to eat while enjoying the program.

• Zapotec Weaving – Wednesday, Jan. 29, Sierra Vista Campus Room 702
Artist and master weaver Alex Martinez will discuss his family’s long history in the art of rug weaving using ancient methods, natural fibers and coloring agents. Martinez will have a large inventory of handmade rugs available for purchase.

Brown Bag lectures in Douglas and Benson will begin the first week of February.
