The Cochise College Foundation is pleased to announce that Arizona G&T Cooperatives is a title sponsor of the Pathway to $100k Challenge, a virtual run/walk to raise funds for scholarships.
“We’ve been fortunate to receive very generous sponsorships that will be passed along to students,” said Denise Hoyos, foundation executive director. “Arizona G&T has long been a partner and has opted to provide greater support at a time when many workers have been negatively impacted by the pandemic and may return to school.”
The Pathway to $100k raises funds for the Senior Scholarship and Non-Traditional Student Scholarship programs. Both programs benefit Cochise County residents enrolling at Cochise College.
The activity is a virtual run/walk in which participants register online, receive an event shirt and other items, have the chance to win prizes, and record the miles they walk or run, anywhere in the world, during March 2021.
Participants who register by Feb. 14, 2021, will be guaranteed an event shirt and other items in advance of the start of the challenge. Participants can register or donate after that date.
Arizona G&T Cooperatives joins two other title sponsors, American Southwest Credit Union and alumnus-owned PVB Fabrications of Tucson.
At the time of publication, other sponsors include Arizona Public Service, Lawley Automotive Group, Jacobs, Fraternal Order of Police Huachuca Chapter, Freeport McMoRan, Canyon Vista Medical Center, Long Realty, Battaglia & Roberts PC, Copper Queen Community Hospital, Andrew Rosen Orthodontics, The Country Lawyer PC, Northrop Grumman and Virginia and Jim Cleven. Prize sponsors include The UPS Store (Apple watch), Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (electric fryer and electric cooler), Running Belt Max (running belts), Lawley Automotive Group (Fitbits), Sierra Vista Police Officers Association (gift cards), Native Grill & Wings (discount/free offer coupons), and Planet Fitness (trial memberships).
