WalletHub’s main findings
Cochise College’s online campus was recently ranked 3rd for top 20 online community colleges with the best return on investment (ROI) website.
Cochise College has offered online classes since 1998. The college’s online campus, also known as the Virtual Campus, is affordable and designed to support both students and instructors.
Many of these online classes are devoted to helping military service members further their education.
George Self, dean of Extended Learning, said, “Because we are near a military installation we are driven to support soldiers and their families. Often, soldiers start college at Cochise, either face-to-face or online, and then continue their studies online wherever they are stationed. The goal of Virtual Campus is to excel in customer service and part of that is building personal relationships with both students and faculty.”
The college was also ranked 4th best community college according to WalletHub website.
In order to determine the best community colleges in the U.S. WalletHub compared 821 institutions across three key dimensions, including Cost & Financing, Education Outcomes and Career Outcomes.
Cochise College president J.D. Rottweiler said, “Cochise College is continually discovering new ways to improve our educational system for our students. We not only help students succeed in the classroom but we also offer support systems outside the classroom that will help guide students to success.”
