DOUGLAS — The Cochise women’s soccer team dropped its home opener Tuesday 2-0 against Pima Community College. The Apaches (1-2) were the latest shutout victim of the Aztecs, who are 3-0 on the season.
“Our first home game didn’t turn out like we wanted, but we learned some very valuable lessons,” said Cochise head coach Andrea Daniels. “We are a young team so the transition from high school to the college level is always a process. Now that we have our first games under our belt, feeling more comfortable, we’ll starting to transform to a solid team.”
Pima scored early with a goal in the eighth minute, and its second goal came in the 37th minute.
Cochise is looking ahead to Friday’s game against Gateway at home on the Douglas Campus. Admission is free.
“I am very much looking forward to these next couple games and the success we’ll produce,” Daniels said.
