PHOENIX — The Cochise College women’s soccer team suffered its first loss this season, 1-0, at the hands of Paradise Valley Community College.
The Pumas scored in the 24th minute on a goal by Bridgette Sabanosh, assisted by Kylee Taylor. Paradise Valley came into this year ranked No. 5 in the NJCAA Division I preseason poll, but dropped to “receiving votes” in the latest poll.
Cochise is now 4-1-1 on the season heading into three games next week, starting at Phoenix on Tuesday, followed by home matchups against Pima at 3 p.m. Thursday and against Glendale at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.
Admission is free to all regular-season home games.
