YUMA – The Cochise College baseball team snapped a five-game losing streak Saturday in the second game of its doubleheader at Arizona Western College. After dropping the first game 2-0, the Apaches bounced back in the second to score five times in the first in a 6-4 win.

Kenton Schroter pitched six innings to get the win for the Apaches, allowing three runs, two earned, on nine Matador hits. Bubba Blau went the last 2 2/3 to pick up his first save of the season.

Corey Fujimoto led the Cochise offense, going 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs, and Max LeFevre went 2 for 4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Zach Rodgers pitched well for the Apaches in the opener, allowing two runs, one earned, in six innings on five hits and a walk. Rodgers struck out five, but fell to 1-3 on the season.
