Apaches in Red and WhiteCochise College Apaches lost a contested game (7-4) in seven innings on Tuesday at Douglas after surrendering the lead in the seventh inning.

 got a hit in each of his two at bats. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth inning. Ben Skuro got the win in relief for Central AZ. Skuro pitched two innings and allowed one run. Alex Tovalin was charged with the loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

In the top of the second, Central grabbed the early lead, 2-0. The scoreboard lit up again for Central when Gibbs scored on an RBI single by Brent Bailey.

Central never surrendered the lead after the seventh inning, scoring four runs on two singles.

In their second game against Central Arizona, Cochise traded the lead six times on Tuesday, but the Apaches ended up on top with a 6-5 win.

Cochise College Apaches took the lead in the eighth inning and held on for the victory. A sacrifice fly by Adam De La Cruz scored Jorge Duarte and gave Cochise the lead for good.

Cochise was led by Logan Bottrell‘s hitting. Bottrell went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Juan Aguilera got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He pitched one shutout inning. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered no hits.

Dailey Carnes couldn’t get it done on the mound for Central AZ, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.

The bottom of the first saw Cochise College Apaches take an early lead, 1-0.

After a quick strike from Central AZ, Cochise College Apaches responded with four runs in the fourth. Cochise College Apaches scored on a two-run triple by Luis Hidalgo, a sacrifice fly by Bottrell, and an RBI single by De La Cruz.
