
PARADISE VALLEY — Tyler Fallwell allowed just one run on Saturday but Cochise College Apaches couldn’t get the offense going in a 1-0 defeat to Paradise Valley.
Fallwell baffled Paradise Valley, striking out six batters. Fallwell allowed no earned runs, four hits and three walks over six innings.
Following the first game, Cochise College Apaches lost 6-4, despite outhitting Paradise Valley 12 to six.
Juan Aguilera took the loss for Cochise College Apaches. He lasted just 5 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out nine, and allowed five runs.
The top of the third saw Cochise College Apaches take an early lead, 1-0. Logan Bottrell singled to ignite Cochise College Apaches’ offense. A stolen base then moved Bottrell from first to second. Jackson Overlund singled, plating Bottrell.
Two Cochise College Apaches runs crossed the plate in the top half of the ninth, making the score 6-4. An RBI single by Luis Hidalgo and an RBI single by Jamori Blash sparked Cochise College Apaches’ rally. Finally, Humphrey got Adam De La Cruz to ground out to end the game.
