
Cochise vs Yavapai
DOUGLAS — Luis Hidalgo went 1-2, sparking Cochise College Apaches to a 7-3 victory in seven innings over Yavapai on Saturday at Douglas, AZ.
Tyler Fallwell’s eight strikeouts helped Cochise College Apaches to the victory. Fallwell allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks over seven innings.
The game’s last lead went to Cochise College Apaches thanks to a fourth inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI single by Jamori Blash. Cochise College Apaches got three-run rallies in the fifth inning and the sixth.
In the fifth, the Apaches scored on an RBI single by Max Draijer, scoring Jorge Duarte.
Cochise built upon its lead with three runs in the sixth. A sacrifice fly scored Duarte to start the scoring in the inning.
During the second game of the night, Jamori Blash‘s walk-off grand slam off Nicko Ortega boosted Cochise College Apaches to a 7-3 win over Yavapai in 10 innings.
Blash rocked Yavapai with two home runs. Blash went 3-5 in the game with five RBIs, two runs scored and homered in the sixth and tenth innings.
Adam DelaCruz recorded the win for Cochise College Apaches. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. He walked none and surrendered one hit.
After a quick strike from Yavapai, Cochise responded with one run in the sixth and scored on a solo home run by Blash.
