Cochise College sophomore Justin Jones from Cypress, Texas signed a National Letter of Intent with Texas A&M Kingsville on Wednesday.
Justin was a key contributor on back-to-back Region Championship teams for the Apaches.
Justin had his greatest game as a freshman in the Region I District game against College of Southern Idaho where he made 6 three point baskets. Justin carried that production over into his sophomore year making a total of 109 three-point basketball shooting the ball at 43% from behind the arc.
“Justin was a great piece for us. He made big shots all year long and we wouldn’t have been able to accomplish what we did without him,” said Head Coach Jerry Carrillo.
“The experience I had at Cochise was second to none. The guys I played with weren’t only my teammates they were by brothers. We were a family, and I valued every minute of it,” said Justin Jones. “I am excited to go back home to Texas. I believe I can have [a] successful career at Kingsville on the court and in the classroom.”
