Bach, during a concert scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at the Holy Trinity Monastery in St. David. The concert, directed by Mike Kuhn, includes small group jazz performances and chamber ensembles.
The Cochise College Chamber Choir and Bi-National Chorus, and the new Bisbee Women’s Ensemble, will perform “Cosas Humanas: Of Things Sacred and Profane” at 7 p.m. Monday, April 26 at the Central School Project in Bisbee. Directed by Melanie Germond and Lori Keyne, selections include excerpts from the Latin American Colonial Jesuit Mass Missa Palatina and the extraordinary Miserere Mei by Allegri, as well as spirituals, 20th-century Latin American music, and a variety of other music celebrating different eras, genres and seasons, including Sephardic traditional, Matthew Harris, William Billings and Eric Whitacre works. The mass will be accompanied by the Cochise College string ensemble Quartetto Cochise.
