DOUGLAS — The Cochise College women’s soccer team honored seven sophomores during its Sophomore Day game against South Mountain last Saturday.
Carley Acosta, Tori McNary, Danielle Dunn, Talya De Leon, Lisa Christensen, Hallie Kolodetsky and Jennifer Calanche are each wrapping up their time on the squad.
“I am so proud of each of these girls for everything they have done for the team,” said head women’s soccer coach Andrea Daniels. “They have led the team and shown by example what true hard work and dedication is. They have grown and I know at the next level they will be impact players and great teammates.”
Saturday’s game was the regular-season finale and Cochise came away with a 10-0 victory. Following the game, the team held a family appreciation day on the Douglas Campus to honor players, parents and friends of the soccer program.
“We have such a great support group,” Daniels said. “We are truly thankful for every piece of our Cochise family.”
