DOUGLAS — Four Cochise College sophomore baseball players have signed early letters of intent to play for universities next year.

Louis Boyd has signed with the University of Arizona in Tucson, Darick Hall with Dallas Baptist University in Texas, and Nick Borowski and Kade Wagner both committed to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colo.

“We’re proud to see these athletes have the opportunity to continue their education and play baseball,” said Cochise assistant coach Jesus Arzaga. “Congratulations on their hard work and dedication.”

The Apaches have wrapped up the fall exhibition season, and they now look ahead toward spring.

This year’s squad is looking to defend last year’s Western District title and earn a third-straight appearance in the NJCAA World Series.

Cochise opens the 2015 season at home on the Douglas Campus at the end of January.
