The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Brown Bag Lecture Series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.

This semester, lectures are presented on Mondays at the Benson Center, Tuesdays at the Douglas Government Center, located at 1012 N. G Ave., and Wednesdays at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702. All lectures are from 12:10 to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.

Tuesday, Nov. 12, Douglas Government Center
From narcotics and border protection to SWAT, Search and Rescue, and Corrections, learn more about the varied responsibilities and future goals of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department.

• “True Children’s Books”
Wednesday, Nov. 13, Sierra Vista Campus, room 702
Suzanne M. Malpass pursued and achieved her dream to write true children’s books, each of which features an animal rescue with a happy ending.
