The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning‘s Brown Bag Lecture Series is presented each semester at the college’s campuses and centers. Weekly free lectures and presentations offer attendees the opportunity to hear fascinating stories and learn about a wide array of topics in a no-pressure environment.

This semester, lectures are presented on Mondays at the Benson Center, Tuesdays at the Douglas Government Center, located at 1012 N. G Ave., and Wednesdays at the Sierra Vista Campus in room 702. All lectures are from 12:10 to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.

• “My Weight Loss Journey”
Monday, Oct. 21, Benson Center
Derek Ausseresses will relate his year-long personal weight loss journey. You will be inspired by his new and healthy life.

• “City of Douglas Planning”
Tuesday, Oct. 22, Douglas Government Center
City Manager Carlos De La Torre will speak about the community and economic development plans for Douglas. Be informed about the future of Douglas.

• “Abrahamic Sojourn in Israel”
Wednesday, Oct. 23, Sierra Vista Campus
Join George McGuire on a pictorial journey of his five-month impromptu trek through the land of Israel. He traveled from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, from Nazareth to Aquaba Jordan, and many holy places in between.
