Friends of the Cochise College Library are currently conducting a membership drive and organizing an event for members.

The Friends of the Cochise College Library is a volunteer-based activity under the auspices of the Cochise College Foundation, a non-profit organization. The mission of this organization is to foster understanding and appreciation of the Cochise College Libraries.

At 3 p.m. Oct. 24 in the Douglas Campus Library, immediately preceding the Pit Fire Festival, the Friends will be holding a reception, book exchange and tour.

Membership categories include:

  • Regular (one year): $5
  • Sustaining (five years): $20
  • Lifetime: $500

Membership forms are available at the circulation desk of the Charles Di Peso Library on the Douglas Campus and the Andrea Cracchiolo Library on the Sierra Vista Campus, or download a form from the Cochise College Libraries website.

Although the primary benefit of membership is the satisfaction that comes from making a lasting contribution to learning, members also enjoy borrowing privileges at the Cochise College Libraries. Every Regular member and above receives a library card that entitles him or her to borrow books, CDs, and DVDs from the Libraries.
